A group of Wolves fans have embarked on a mission to raise much needed funds for Clara Rogers.

The lads have travelled all over Britain and Europe last season watching Wolves, often accompanied by Clara’s father Pete. You could say the fundraising idea was born on the road to Gdansk.

When Clara was born she suffered hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. This is an event that led to a lack of oxygen to her brain. Clara was so unwell, she couldn’t breathe on her own, her organs were failing, and she had suffered a severe brain injury.

The group are raising money to help get Clara to the NAPA Centre in America. They use innovative types of physio and occupational therapy to help children with their motor skills, speech and feeding.

The therapy Clara has been offered is something called CME, a dynamic technique used in physical and occupational therapy aimed at provoking improved postural responses in patients to promote progress.

Please help them get Clara to NAPA. The main aim for Clara is to sit and, while there has been small amounts of progress, the intensity of three weeks in Boston combined with their specialised techniques could see her get there quicker.

The lads are looking to hold a number of events including;

  • A walk from Wolverhampton to Birmingham taking in Molineux, The Banks’s Stadium, The Hawthorns, Villa Park and St Andrew – 3rd October 2020
  • A disco at the Wanderers Return pub in Wolverhampton (where the boys can often be found on matchdays) – Date TBA
  • A pub quiz at the Old Royal in Birmingham – Date TBA
  • Charity sports memorabilia auction – Date TBA which includes a signed match worn Diogo Jota football boot, a signed match worn Reuben Neves shirt and a signed match worn Joao Moutinho signed shirt.

The group is made up of Ste Cooper (Coops), Justin Winwood (Gus), Mark Hands (Handsy), Martin Hughes, Scott Hales (Acid), Vinny Preece, Dave Starkey, Jonathan Nevill (Nev), Michael Watkins (Swiller), Scott Herbert & Pete Rogers.
